I've been tagged by Deb, my fabulous knitting friend that quells the voice of reason inside my head and encourages me to buy more sock yarn!
Here are the rules, and they must be posted to your blog:
Link to the person’s blog who tagged you (see above).
List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.
Tag seven random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog and also so they can look at your blog and not tag the same people all over again!
And now, my 7 things:
1. I used to know the entire soundtrack to Rocky Horror Picture Show by heart. I still know most of it.
2. I have always wanted to be a blond or a redhead, but I am completely terrified of doing it and then looking like a dumb ass.
3. I never EVER want to skydive. It seems to me there are better ways to spend $500 than throwing yourself out of plane. It's just not my bag.
4. I have always wanted to learn to ride horses, I must do this before I die.
5. I'm secretly obsessed with Japanese culture, particularly the history of the geisha.
6. I want to own a vineyard. Owning a vineyard would be my dream come true, it is something I have been wanting to do for a while, and I think we can do this. I almost have Ry completely convinced.
7. My two all time favorite movies are Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy and Pee-Wees Big Adventure. Don't get me wrong, there are a tons of movies that I love, but these two are tops, they always crack me up.
I have to think about my seven people, so I'll edit this later. Meanwhile, any volunteers?
Just a little blog from the rambling mind of a busy chica who fell in love with knitting.

Thank you!
Thank you everyone for your congratulations. We're really excited and I ahve already begun to overwhelm myself with planning the wedding. We've decided that the last two full weekends in Ocotber of 2009 look good. That, of course, may change but for now that's the plan. Truthfully, I think a winter wedding would be a lot of fun, but Ry is concerned about how a snowstorm might delay or even ruin our plans. I promise to post a picture of the rings, hopefully this weekend if my camera hooks up to my brand new MAC!
Yep, that's right, I now have a Mac Book. My old laptop finally "shit the bed" (as Ry likes to say) if had been going for a while. the bottom third of the screen ahd ben overtaken by horizontal white lines, rendered that portion completely useless unless I used wood clamps to correct it. The part of th power cord that plugged into the computer had to be propped up with pens, folded papers, etc in order for it to get power and then finally the power cord got so screwed up that without some serious fiddling I couldn't get any power. Well, that was the final straw. we talked about it and I got a new MacBook which we will be reimbursed for through the lawschool. WaHoo! It's so exciting I was almost tempted to ditch my knittign group to play with my new toy! But I restrained myself and decided that I can,. in fact have it all, I can go to knitting and get home, take out the dogs, have dinner and play! YAY!
In more wedding planning news, Ryan and I have decided to take the 29th of this month to go and check out three possible venues for this shindig and in the process we'll be having lunch with my FMIL (F, which used to mean Faux, will now mean FUTURE!) and Coffee with Ry's Uncle. I am looking forward to this. I feel like the 29th might be an auspicious day for us, being a leap year and all. We'll see. In the meantime I'm goign to try to keep the wedding planning stuff to a minimum here and a maximum at our wedding blog, which is listed in the sidebar. Feel free to check it out. It's not very full yet, but, then again, it's still early!
p.s. Mitten Pal #1, it's okay, I forgive you! (haha) I was just wondering if you fell off the planet or something. It's good to hear from you again, and congratulations on your wedding!

Engaged!
I'm sorry. I was a bad blogger last week. I have a good excuse, though....I got engaged! Ryan popped the question, twice! Here's the story:
We had our friends over to watch the “big game” with us and, after a loss by Ryan & J's team, Ryan began the clean up process while J&M left before any possible rioting would take place. After the clean up Ryan and I watched a little television and snuggled up on the couch together. In the midst of this television watching and chit chatting I looked up at him and told him that my hands looked old, that the palms are more full of lines than one of my friends who has a son Ryan's age. Well, he kept telling me that my hands did not look old and then he excused himself for a moment. When he came back he had two glasses of wine and sat down next to me and began telling me he loves me and that the people he has known with lines in their hands have always been good people, people that were always there to lend him a hand and help him, even though they didn't know how much they had been helping him, people that worked hard for what they had and were honest, good people. (Right then I knew he was leading to something, he kept putting his hand in pocket and looked nervous.)Then Ryan got up, walked around to the front of me and got down on one knee.He said "I don't have a lot of money, but would you marry me?" He cried, I laughed and told him that I, of course, would marry him! He looked so happy and said "Will you? Will you marry me?" "Yes! Yes, yes, of course I'll marry you!" And the rest of the night was spent celebrating! We opened the Champagne that Sarah and Kate gave us about a year ago and we just enjoyed the rest of the night. In fact, I called in late to work for Monday. Ryan gave me his signet ring that he received for his high school graduation and then he picked out an engagement ring that will actually fit my ring finger. Meanwhile I wore his signet ring on a necklace all week last week and Ryan gave me the engagement ring last night hen he took me out to dinner. He was so slick. He got me rambling on about candles and lighting candles and when he had me look to the back of the restaurant he put the ring on my bread plate. I turned back and went faffing on and on for about five minutes when I looked down and saw the ring. It's just beautiful. He propsed to me again (in a more casual way) and sl;ipped that beauty on my finger. He did such a wonderful job, and think I might be the only girl I know with two engagement rings. I love that guy!
